Steve is a longtime Gainesville resident who began his time at Creekside as a UF student in 1984. After a two-year stint in Budapest, Hungary, he and his wife, Kim, returned to Creekside where Steve accepted the position of Youth Pastor in 1993. Now as Lead Pastor, Steve serves as a primary preacher and pastoral leader. He and Kim have four children.
Mike joined Creekside as an Associate Pastor in 2016. In addition to preaching and teaching, Mike coordinates the pastoral residency program, oversees Creekside’s OAG (small group) ministry, and works with Creekside’s Haiti team. He and his family moved from Chicago where he earned his Master of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2013. Mike and his wife, Courtney, have two young sons.
As Youth Pastor, Steve plays an integral role on Creekside’s pastoral team. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University before earning a Master of Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary. Now with over 20 years of diverse ministry experience, he is passionate about reaching and equipping the next generation for God’s kingdom. In his free time, Steve enjoys time spent outdoors with his family.
Associate Pastor of Christian Education
Eric has spent ⅔ of his life in Gainesville beginning with college at UF. He and his wife, Heather, have attended Creekside for 10 years and lead an OAG together. Eric has also served as an Elder and Deacon. Eric is a student by nature and is passionate about learning and teaching, both in his IT role at UF and his position at Creekside, where he will design and teach adult education courses.
Assistant Pastor in Residence
Gianluca was born in Trujillo, Peru and raised in Boca Raton, FL. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminology from UF. After two years on staff at Creekside as a pastoral intern and youth assistant director, Gianluca earned his Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2020 and has returned to Gainesville. He and his wife, Deborah, have been married since 2015 and enjoy drinking coffee, watching movies, and spending time exploring different cities.
Director of Adult Discipleship
Lark began attending Creekside as a freshman at UF in 1999. Here she developed a love for God's Word and a deeper understanding of how it applies to everyday life. She is passionate about seeing people grow in Biblical literacy and will be helping with the adult education ministry as well as training and equipping Creekside's women as disciples of Jesus. Currently she is pursuing a masters from Gordon-Conwell Seminary. She and her husband Kevin have three children.
Director of Creekside Kids
With an education background that spans over 30 years, Nina lives out her passion for teaching as Creekside’s Children’s Ministries Director, a position she has served in since 2007. As part of her role, Nina oversees the children’s curriculum as well teacher recruiting, training and scheduling.
Assistant Director of Creekside Kids
Tammi began attending Creekside with her family in 1998. She has been serving with Creekside’s children’s ministry ever since, first as a volunteer and then joining the staff team in 2011. She is most passionate about helping children grow in their understanding of who God is and His love for them.
Miffy has a full history with Creekside. She began attending in 1974 during her freshman year at UF. After graduation, she joined the church and recently celebrated 40 years on staff. As Office Administrator, Miffy oversees the day-to-day operations of the church and provides support to the church staff, Creekside ministries, and the church family.
Barbara has served as Office Assistant at Creekside since 2016. She provides vital administrative support to the church. Barbara is a Chicago native and earned her MBA degree from the University of Chicago. She is thrilled to be a part of the Creekside family.
A recent UF graduate with a Bachelor's in Art History, Leah is a grew up in Creekside and will spend her internship supporting the worship teams and answering the question: How do the arts fit into the church and the broader story of the gospel? Leah's interest and experience with art history has led her to pursue a career in art conservation, as she works to highlight the beauty and artistry of God's character in her own life.
